COVID 19 NOTICE

A Notice from Judge Edmond Naman

As the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout our Country and State, the Mobile County Juvenile Court would like to assure the public that the health and safety of our court visitors, our staff, our families and most importantly our children are our top priority.  

Therefore, we are following all recommended guidelines provided by the CDC to ensure the safety and health of all individuals.   

Please note the following temporary changes to our normal procedures until further notice:

•There will be limited access to our courthouse and buildings in order to ensure adequate     
  social distancing.
•Detention Center visitation for all residents has been cancelled.  
•Additional phone calls for residents will be scheduled.
•All Non-Essential Trials, Probation programs, community service and leadership and
  gardening programs are temporarily suspended.

If you have any symptoms of the disease (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or have recently traveled to an area with widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19 please understand that we cannot allow your entry into our buildings.

NEST of Mobile
NEST is a local mentoring program that matches teams of community volunteers with at-risk youth and families.
A NEST team consists of two or more Court approved volunteers. NEST works with the Mobile County Juvenile
Court, the Department of Human Resources and partnering agencies to match teams with youth referrals.
